Yemeni Police Disperse Protesters

In the conflict between the masses, some people were injured including a member of parliament from the opposition Ahmed Seif Hashid. The protesters are demanding President Ali Abdullah Saleh that has been in power almost 32 years to step down from his position, even though President Ali had promised not to run again for 2013.

Protests that triggered similar actions in Tunisia and Egypt is now entering the fifth day. Middle east region is now affected by a wave of anti-government rallies. This condition is triggered by social problems such as unemployment, increase the price of basic commodities, corruption and autocratic leadership.

A wave of dissatisfaction against the government began with the overthrow of President of Tunisia Zine al-Abedine Ben Ali last month. Similar action later spread to Egypt, which ended with the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak. Iranian opposition groups were trying to do a similar action which ended in bloody clashes in Tehran, on Monday (14 / 2). And now the latest wave of protests in Bahrain that made the police should disperse demonstrations in the capital Manama
